Harvesting

Coffee bean is a seed inside the coffee cherry. The ripe coffee cherry is manually picked by pickers which results in a uniform, high quality output. Alternatively, coffee cherries are stripped mechanically in which all fruit is removed in one go.

Processing

The freshly harvested coffee cherries are de-pulped using a machine and are then fermented in a tank to break down the mucilage. Once it has had enough fermentation, the coffee is soaked in water to stop the fermentation process.

Drying

The coffee beans are then sun dried for 8-10 days with frequent turning to ensure uniform drying.

Milling

In the hulling process, the machine removed the exocarp, mesocarp and parchment from the coffee beans. This results in the output of green coffee beans ready to be exported.
